Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Critical Care Float Pool RN to deliver advanced nursing care across multiple adult ICUs. You will float between units, collaborate with intensivists and ICU teams, and provide care for high-acuity patients with complex monitoring and ventilation support.

Flexibility for full- and part-time shifts is available. Minimum is RN license in Virginia, BSN within 5 years, 1 year ICU experience and BLS; relocation assistance may be available for qualified

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant ICU experience.
• Virginia RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to high acuity ICU patients with advanced monitoring and support.
• Float between adult critical care units based on patient needs and competencies.
• Collaborate with intensivists, fellows, residents, APPs, and ICU teams.
• Apply strong assessment skills and clinical judgment in fast-paced, complex situations.
• Support patients and families with professionalism, clarity, and compassion.
