Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support local secondary schools in Medway. You will supervise lessons, cover planned and unplanned absences, and set a positive tone in the classroom. You can set your own weekly availability, with part-time or full-time options.

No prior cover supervisor experience is required, only a degree and some experience with young people. You’ll need to adapt to different classes, follow safeguarding policies, and provide feedback to teachers.

Qualifications

• Degree required to apply.
• Some experience with young people or youth workers welcomed.
• Ability to adapt to different situations and maintain positive behaviour.
• Previous experience as a cover supervisor not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during pre-planned tasks.
• Assist pupils when they have questions.
• Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
• Collect completed work and hand to Head of Department.
• Provide feedback on lessons and pupils’ progress.
