Job summary

Gen is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Product & Commercial to partner with product, engineering, UX, marketing and sales teams. You will shape product design and go‑to‑market strategies, provide pragmatic, business‑oriented legal advice across the lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing customer experiences.

You will manage complex commercial transactions and strategic partnerships, balance risk and compliance, and help scale legal operations with AI-enabled templates and playbooks.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar (Arizona or California preferred).
• 3–6 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in‑house, ideally supporting technology products or services and commercial transactions.
• Substantive familiarity with commercial contracts, marketing laws, and consumer protection laws.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial and sales contracts with counterparties and cross‑functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Advise product, UX, engineering and marketing teams on design, development and customer experience.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with distributors, resellers, technology and vendors.
• Lead risk management and develop scalable templates, playbooks, policies, and AI-enabled processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with privacy, brand, marketing, IP, and commercial teams.
