Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Jupiter is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role does not involve medication administration and follows PAM Health policies.

Education should include a high school diploma or equivalent, with CNA certification as required by state. A current BLS certificate is required; previous acute or rehab hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required where dictated by state law.
• BLS certification required.
• ECG or additional certifications not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living under supervision.
• Provide basic patient care and comfort measures.
• Follow hospital policies and report changes to the supervising nurse.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
