Job summary

Senior Helpers of Greater Chicago is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our award-winning team. We welcome applicants with or without prior caregiving experience and will provide comprehensive on-the-job training.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and ability to follow care plans.
Extensive caregiving experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
Reliable, empathetic, and flexible (preferred).
Strong communication to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
Patient, reliable, and culturally sensitive with commitment to preserving client dignity and independence.
Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with car insurance.
Negative Tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

Assist your client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, personal care.
Build a positive relationship with your client by taking part in engaging conversations and hobbies.
Be able to perform light housekeeping, cook, and run errands as needed.
Provide individualized care as detailed in a care plan.
Have the ability to remain calm and collected during emergencies.
Be able to communicate with the office regarding any client changes to the office.
