Job summary

Senior Helpers of Greater Chicago is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team in Bellwood, IL. We welcome applicants with or without caregiving experience and offer on‑the‑job training and growth opportunities.

You’ll build relationships with clients, assist with daily tasks, and participate in activities that promote independence. We offer flexible shifts (weekdays, weekends, overnights) and competitive pay at $16–$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• On-the-job training available; prior caregiving experience not required.
• Reliable, empathetic, and flexible with strong communication.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
• Negative tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with clients and participate in client’s hobbies.
• Perform light housekeeping, cook, and run errands as needed.
• Provide individualized care as detailed in the care plan.
• Remain calm and collected during emergencies.
• Communicate client changes to the office.
