Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is seeking caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home care across Connecticut. You will follow each client's Plan of Care, transport to activities, help with daily tasks, and offer companionship in a supportive environment.

Open availability is preferred; a valid drivers license and background check are required. Prior caregiver experience is a plus, with flexible scheduling including overnights and live-in shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Caregiver experience (HHA/CNA/PCA/Companion) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
