Job summary

Bloomington is seeking a compassionate Caregiver/CNA/HHA to assist clients with daily living activities, mobility, personal care, and medication reminders. The role includes light housekeeping, meal preparation, and support for therapy exercises, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

The position requires basic high school education or equivalent, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or current CPR (American Heart Association)
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively
• Respectful and compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to assist with mobility, personal care, and daily activities
• Knowledge of housekeeping and basic cooking with dietary awareness

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and assist with ambulation and mobility
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Support physical therapy and exercise routines
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments
• Assist with shopping and meal preparation
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean home environment
• Gather health information from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family
• Report unusual incidents to caregivers or medical staff
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies
