IHA in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist to join our integrated care team. You will provide outpatient psychotherapy and perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and work with primary care and specialists to support whole-person care.

Flexible schedule from part-time to full-time, with locations in Rochester Hills, Canton, Ann Arbor/West Arbor, or Chelsea. Candidates must have a master's in a behavioral health field and an active Michigan license.

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, counseling, MFT, psychology or related behavioral health field from an accredited program.
Active Michigan licenses: LMSW, LCSW (if applicable), LPC, LP, LLP (if supervision requirements are met).
Minimum two years of psychotherapy or behavioral health experience.

Responsabilités

Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and mental health screenings.
Assess patient functioning, symptom severity, risk factors, and treatment needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and evidence-based interventions.
Utilize DSM-5 criteria and clinical judgment to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Regularly review and update treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical outcomes.
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy using evidence-based treatment modalities.
Deliver brief interventions within an integrated care model while maintaining the ability to support longer-term therapeutic needs when appropriate.
Utilize therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based practices.
Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and safety planning as needed.
Support patients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, resilience, and self-management strategies.
Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Communicate treatment recommendations, progress updates, and clinical concerns through the EHR and interdisciplinary team discussions.
Participate in case consultations and care team meetings to support integrated behavioral health services.
Coordinate referrals and transitions of care with community mental health providers and support services as appropriate.
Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and billing requirements.
Utilize EHR systems and clinical tools to document treatment, monitor outcomes, and facilitate communication among care team members.
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, accreditation standards, and ethical guidelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff development activities, and team meetings.
Maintain professional licensure and complete continuing education requirements.
Provide clinical supervision to students or interns as assigned.
Participate in specialized training related to PNES and provide therapeutic treatment interventions for this patient population.
