Job summary

North Santiam School District is seeking AVID elective classroom tutors for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time position involves tutoring small groups or individuals of middle and/or high school students under the supervision of an AVID teacher.

Tutors will attend trainings, use AVID strategies, and serve as role models to students. Hours range from 2 to 10 hours per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with flexible scheduling to fit college student timelines.

Qualifications

• Tutors attend training classes and professional development sessions.

Responsibilities

• Tutor small groups or individuals in middle and/or high school.
• Establish and maintain rapport with students and AVID coordinator.
• Facilitate AVID Tutorial process and utilize AVID strategies.
• Evaluate student binders and progress notes.
• Communicate progress and concerns to AVID coordinator.
