Job summary

Visiting Angels of Longview is hiring At Home Caregivers to serve clients across East Texas, including Tatum. You’ll provide personal care, companionship, and support per individual care plans with flexible shifts and growth opportunities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with insurance, and strong communication. Training in First Aid and emergency response is provided if needed, with ongoing opportunities for skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid and emergency response training provided if needed.
• Excellent time-management and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to visit client homes as scheduled.
• Physical endurance for lifting or assisting clients.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties per dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards, including background checks.
• Bring compassion and a desire to brighten clients' days.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene as needed.
• Assist with light physical exercise or walks to support wellness.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients according to preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean home.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship and emotional support.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.
