Job summary

Visiting Angels Longview is hiring a Caregiver to support East Texas seniors with light housekeeping, meals, mobility, and transportation. You’ll provide compassionate companionship and help with daily activities.

We offer training in dementia care and Alzheimer’s care, plus a range of shifts (Full Time, Part Time, 8/10/12 hour shifts, PRN). Benefits include health, dental, vision, holiday pay, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Adherence to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical endurance required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
