Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve clients across Healthcare, Education, Finance and more in a flexible capacity. You will use our shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on your availability, building a schedule that fits your life while gaining site experience.

This position offers hands-on security experience, growth opportunities, and may involve irregular shifts with short notice.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliable and adaptable to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem‑solving abilities.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary.
