Job summary

Seminole State College of Florida invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach courses as assigned across multiple disciplines. Responsibilities include developing syllabi, delivering instruction, and using CANVAS for course materials and grading.

Qualified candidates hold a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours and have strong communication and instructional skills. Preferred candidates show MOS/industry credentials and office experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any qualifying fields (Accounting, Business, Education, etc.).
• Two years experience in an office environment (desirable).
• MOS certification or other professional certifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Developing a course syllabus and posting it in the approved system by deadlines.
• Preparing for and delivering class, studio, clinical, or lab instruction as scheduled.
• Using instructional materials to plan and deliver instruction that enhances learning.
• Developing or modifying assignments and assessments to evaluate course outcomes.
• Grading student work with timely feedback and handling final grades.
• Participating in professional development opportunities.
• Maintaining CANVAS usage and posting syllabi, class rosters, and final grades by deadlines.
• Responding promptly to communications from students and colleagues.
• Meeting with students individually to review coursework as needed.
• Collaborating with other faculty to improve curricula and promote student success.
