Job summary

The Reading Parking Authority is hiring Parking Enforcement Officers to support safe, accessible parking across the City of Reading. You will patrol on foot or by vehicle, enforce regulations, and interact with residents and visitors.

This role requires independence in all weather conditions, strong customer service, and the ability to work evenings on second shift (3:30 PM–12:00 AM) with two rotation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling city streets, parking lots, and facilities on foot or by vehicle
• Enforcing parking regulations and issuing violations
• Providing customer service and assisting residents and visitors with questions
• Reviewing and processing parking appeals per procedures
• Maintaining daily activity logs and collecting parking data
• Reporting safety hazards observed during patrols
• Appearing at hearings or court proceedings when required
