Job summary

Ventura Coastal is seeking an Automation Technician to support two Tipton plants with instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting. The role requires after-hours service calls and flexibility to work at either plant while basing in Tipton, CA.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, calibration per OEM/FDA standards, and collaboration with the maintenance team to drive efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with post-secondary training in electronics and automation.
• 2–5 years’ experience with food processing systems and equipment.
• Experience with instrumentation, PLCs and control networks.
• Experience with Wonderware InTouch is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support automation engineer and maintenance to troubleshoot and calibrate systems.
• Perform routine diagnostic checks and calibration on automated equipment.
• Repair or replace sensors and wiring as needed.
• Assist with PLC programming and process improvements.
