Sunstates Security is hiring Flex Security Officers in the Twinsburg, OH area. All days and shifts are available! These positions offer a pay rate of$19.25/hr, with weekly pay.

Requirements

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have good communication skills.
• Good customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Monitor and control all inbound and outbound truck traffic, ensuring drivers, trailers, seals, and shipping documentation are properly verified and recorded.
• Process Bills of Lading (BOLs), truck logs, visitor logs, and security records accurately while maintaining detailed documentation of site activity.
• Verify trailer seals, inspect loads for signs of tampering, damage, or unsafe conditions, and follow established reporting procedures for any discrepancies.
• Operate site technology and security systems, including SAP, barcode generation software, and electronic reporting applications.
• Safely direct drivers, visitors, vendors, and contractors to designated locations while maintaining professional customer service standards.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the facility and perimeter using established patrol routes, reporting any safety, security, or operational concerns.
• Control employee, temporary worker, and visitor access by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, and enforcing site access procedures.
• Maintain situational awareness of warehouse operations, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing to identify and report suspicious activity or hazards.
• Complete shift pass-down reports and communicate critical information, incidents, procedural updates, and operational concerns to incoming security personnel and site management.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a professional presence while protecting client property, personnel, and assets.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

• You will be trained at various posts and /or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
• Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
• You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
• You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability described on this sheet, you must communicate this with your supervisor, so they know not to schedule you.
• For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
• A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
