Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in Houston, TX. You will serve clients across industries using our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts, building a schedule that fits your availability, while gaining site experience.

The role offers part-time hours with opportunities for hands-on experience, growth, and exposure to healthcare, education, and finance environments.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state and local laws.
• Valid drivers license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigation required by law; may hire with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed in some states).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio or console monitors.
• Interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.
• Mediate conflicts with tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure compliant removal.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
