Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Flex Entry Screening to protect client sites across industries. The role offers a 30–40 hour week with a self-scheduling program and irregular shifts to support client needs.

Pay rate is $16.34 per hour. This position provides hands-on security experience, exposure to diverse environments, and opportunities for advancement within the company as you build a long-term career.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to assignments as needed.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet to perform job duties.
• A background check will be conducted in accordance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal per client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
