Job summary

Allied Universal® in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Flex Access Credentialing to support multiple client sites across industries. Expect 30–40 hours per week with workload variety, flexible shifts, and opportunities to gain hands-on security experience.

Pay rate is $16.47 per hour, with irregular shifts and last-minute scheduling as needed. You will patrol, monitor entrances, complete incident reports, and assist customers and staff with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department if needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering or forbidden articles.
• Monitor entrances and exits and permit authorized persons to enter.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
