Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Patrol Shift Coverage in Houston, TX. The role offers 30–40 hours per week with a self-scheduling program, supporting client needs across diverse sites.

Pay rate is $16.55 per hour, with irregular shifts and opportunities for advancement within the company. The position requires availability for varying shifts, reliable transport, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and entry points.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal of items.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
