PeaceHealth’s Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is seeking an RN to provide high-acuity care in a fast-paced ICU step-down setting, delivering evidence-based nursing and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

Compensation

Salary Range: $45.78 - $82.98 per hour

Actual pay is based on experience

Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Multiple openings may be available.

What You'll Do

As an IMCU RN, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
• Monitoring and caring for patients requiring advanced nursing assessment and intervention
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Providing patient and family education and support
• Documenting care accurately and thoroughly within the electronic medical record
• Delegating and directing care appropriately among care team members
• Participating in quality improvement, patient safety, and professional practice initiatives
• Maintaining and advancing clinical expertise through ongoing education and development

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience OR successful completion of an ICU intern/cross-training program

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• One year of Registered Nurse experience
• One year of IMCU, Progressive Care, Step-Down, or related critical care experience

Certifications Required Within 6 Months of Hire

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
