Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is seeking a Flexi (On-Call) Associate Chaplain to support Sentara Hospitals in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA. This role provides spiritual care to patients, families and staff, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

The chaplain will document care activities, address staff needs, and respond to crises while on call. A Bachelor’s in Religion & Theology and 1 CPE unit are required, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Religion & Theology required.
• 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides spiritual care throughout the hospital for patients, families and staff.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members for holistic patient care.
• Documents patient care concerns and interventions; communicates needs to the team.
• Responds to crises on call and conducts rounds to identify patient and family needs.
