Job summary

North Star Mohican Casino Resort seeks a Bartender to craft drinks, ensure quality, and deliver friendly service in a resort setting.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least six months of bartending experience, and an RB Server class. Cash handling experience is required, and you must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while engaging guests and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (if you are 19 years old and under).
• Minimum of six (6) months’ bartending experience preferred.
• Completion of a Responsible Beverage Server class required.
• Basic knowledge of liquor products and drink recipes preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Attend all required training sessions and adhere to established rules, regulations, and policies.
• Participate in the employee random drug testing program and work effectively with individuals of diverse personalities.
• Wear the approved departmental uniform and report to work reliably and punctually.
• Maintain compliance with workplace policies and procedures, including answering and processing all incoming calls professionally.
• Monitor and maintain the quality, consistency, and portion controls for all dispensed drinks.
• Process monetary transactions accurately, adhere to revenue handling policies, and verify cash drawer daily.
• Stay informed of beverage specials, promotions, and prices, and fulfill guest requests promptly.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service, checking identification and monitoring for signs of intoxication.
• Engage guests in conversation and address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and associates, and stock necessary supplies for service.
• Be knowledgeable about the facility and handle guest inquiries efficiently.
• Demonstrate commitment to the organization's goals and vision, and assist fellow associates as needed.
• Prioritize and multitask effectively to ensure smooth operations.
• Complete any other duties as assigned by management.

Position : Bartender Hourly : $11.00/Hour, Plus Tips Location : Resort Reports to : Food & Beverage Supervisor

In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Work Conditions :

• Constant hand movements and standing, with occasional walking, bending, and reaching.
• Occasional pushing/pulling and lifting/moving up to thirty (30) pounds.
• Specific vision abilities are required.
• A smoke-free work environment with varied noise and dust levels depending upon area.
