Job summary

West 10th Dental Group is seeking a Flex Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team across multiple west Indianapolis practices. The ideal candidate will be certified as an EFDA, possess current CPR/BLS, and demonstrate strong patient communication and care.

This full-time EFDA position involves supporting dentists across offices, with 40 weekly hours and a flexible, patient-centered approach in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification or equivalent required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment; assists dentists and hygienists.
• Prepares treatment room and sterilizes instruments; passes instruments during procedures.
• Places and finishes restorations, impressions, crowns, bridges, and applies sealants.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment. Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
• Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations, completes preliminary Impressions, makes and polishes temporary crowns, removal temporary crowns, and fitting of permanent crowns and bridges, adjusting occlusions and interproximal areas, application of sealants, and adjusting partials and dentures.

Qualifications

• Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
