Job Opportunity: Welder at FutureFuel Chemical Company

FutureFuel Chemical Company is seeking a Welder to join our Flex Crew at our Batesville, Arkansas site.

About the Position

This role reports to the Supervisor, Construction & Project Engineering, and involves performing a variety of skilled welding tasks at our Batesville plant.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pass welding performance tests such as GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW.
2. Produce quality welds on pipes and structural steel.
3. Assist with installation of pipes and components.
4. Support clean-up activities.
5. Communicate effectively with team members.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
7. Work in varying weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
8. Complete safety training as required.
9. Weld components in various positions.
10. Operate safety equipment and adhere to safe work practices.
11. Lay out, align, and secure parts prior to welding.
12. Inspect work for defects and ensure specifications are met.
13. Operate welding tools and equipment, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welders.
14. Weld using different materials like aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron.
15. Set up and use torches, filler rods, and flux according to specifications.
16. Ignite torches and strike arcs properly.
17. Adjust gas flow and pressure for optimal flames.
