Securitas USA is hiring a Flex Armed Security Officer to join our full-time team in Colorado. You will actively monitor premises, patrol varied locations, and enforce regulations to keep people and property safe.

The role includes providing customer service and serving as a deterrent when needed. Ideal candidates have security, law enforcement, or military experience, with strong attention to detail, calmness under pressure, and the ability to work independently while communicating clearly.

Primary Locations: Brighton, Thornton, Broomfield, & Westminster, CO

Wage: $25.80/HR

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Flex Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Flex Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Basic Requirements

• 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of armed experience.
• Must be able to speak to gun safety and responsibilities as well as successfully complete assessments and shooting qualification.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular).
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.

• Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
