Job summary

Hirschbach in Denton, TX is seeking a Yard Specialist to inspect equipment, coordinate repairs, maintain yard organization, and ensure tractors and trailers are ready for the road.

The role requires 3–5 years of transportation or fleet maintenance experience; CDL A is preferred. On-site work with competitive pay and benefits, including a strong tool and boot allowance and training programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in transportation, fleet maintenance, or related industry or equivalent military experience.
• CDL A preferred and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine yard inspections to identify damaged or inoperable tractors and trailers.
• Create repair orders and document repair estimates for equipment requiring maintenance.
• Coordinate with external vendors by submitting repair requests for work outside the scope of the shop.
• Perform minor repairs, including replacing tires, lights, mud flaps, and other basic maintenance items.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient yard by ensuring equipment is properly positioned and parked.
