Position Summary
The Fleet & Warehouse Operations Manager is a dual-responsibility leadership role overseeing the daily operations, systems, and performance of our fleet and warehouse. This individual will implement robust inventory tracking processes, manage incoming and outgoing materials, and oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and compliance of all company vehicle and heavy equipment, including but not limited to trucks and telehandlers.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Develop, implement, and manage a preventative maintenance schedule for all company vehicles and equipment
- Maintain up-to-date fleet inventory, including vehicle records, registration, inspection, and insurance documentation
- Coordinate with vendors for vehicle service, repairs, and inspections
- Track usage, fuel consumption, and service history for fleet optimization
- Ensure compliance with DOT and other relevant regulations
- Identify opportunities to reduce fleet downtime and increase operational efficiency Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management
- Conduct a comprehensive initial inventory audit of all warehouse materials and tools
- Implement an inventory control system including barcode labeling and scanning
- Maintain an organized warehouse layout to optimize material flow and minimize waste
- Monitor and track all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate documentation
- Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for inventory handling, receiving, and dispatch
- Manage material orders, working closely with procurement and field supervisors
- Oversee storage of tools, equipment, and consumables to ensure proper handling and accessibility
- Enforce safety protocols within the warehouse and monitor proper use of equipment
Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise any warehouse staff or drivers as assigned
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and vendors to ensure material readiness for job sites
- Support cost control by reducing material waste and optimizing fleet usage
- Provide regular reports on fleet condition, warehouse inventory, and operational KPIs to senior leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, warehouse management, or logistics
- Proven experience creating systems for inventory and fleet oversight
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in using inventory or fleet management software
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
Preferred:
- Experience in the construction, roofing, or remodeling industry
- Familiarity with barcoding systems, scanners, or warehouse tech tools
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
