Job summary

The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is seeking a Vehicle Services Manager to lead the Vehicle Services Division. You will oversee planning, administration, and operations for fleet maintenance, procurement, and disposition of fire district vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities include managing staff through supervisors, directing daily operations, and safeguarding the division budget while ensuring readiness for emergencies and daily service delivery.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-scope supervisory experience over staff in a Fleet or Vehicle Services Division.
• Experience in budgeting, procurement and contracts related to vehicle services is preferred.
• An ideal candidate has strong organizational and leadership skills and works collaboratively with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer and operate the Vehicle Services Division for the County Fire Protection District.
• Direct day-to-day operations, procurement, inspection, maintenance, repair, fabrication and disposal of District vehicles and equipment.
• Manage division staff through subordinate supervisors and oversee the division budget.
