Job summary

County of Riverside seeks a Fire Fleet Services Manager to direct the Fire Department's fleet program in Perris. You will oversee maintenance, repair, procurement, and disposal of fire vehicles and equipment, while providing policy guidance and budgeting input to support emergency response.

Qualifications

Five years of experience in a motor fleet setting in an administrative, management, or supervisory capacity.
Experience supervising journey-level automotive mechanics directly or through subordinates.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; major in business or public administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, organize, and evaluate the Fleet Division’s work and productivity standards.
Develop and implement policies for procurement, inspection, maintenance, repair, and disposal of vehicles and equipment.
Oversee fleet budgeting, replacement planning and collaboration with central purchasing and fleet management.
Direct automated fleet management and fuel systems to track costs and usage.
Provide leadership and staff development for Fleet Services personnel and improve operational efficiency.
