Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Fleet Analyst to optimize fleet performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness across the organization. You will collaborate with branch managers, territory directors, safety teams, and the fleet management group to meet evolving fleet needs.

You will analyze data on performance, fuel use, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilization while staying current with federal and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management software.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations governing fleet operations.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fleet performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
• Partner with leaders to improve fleet performance based on KPIs.
• Organize and maintain fleet telematics data and systems.
• Track vehicle replacement needs and coordinate with management.
• Collaborate with safety teams to acquire up-to-date safety features.
• Evaluate fleet management processes and drive improvements.
• Prepare and present reports and dashboards highlighting KPIs and trends.
• Plan future vehicle needs and orders with providers and leaders.
• Manage license and title needs per fleet requirements.
• Monitor fleet technology to improve safety and performance.
• Coordinate with upfitters on truck specifications.
• Track vehicles through build timelines to ensure delivery.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and monitor vendor performance.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical vehicle fleet analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing fleet management tools to optimize fleet performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness to meet the organization’s fleet needs throughout the entire fleet. This will be completed by collaborating with branch managers, territory directors, safety team, and fleet management team.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations governing fleet operations, including vehicle inspections, emissions standards, and driver licensing requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fleet performance, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilization.
• Partner with business leaders within the organization to improve fleet performance based on KPI’s relating to maintenance, vehicle uptime, & repair turnaround times.
• Organizing & maintaining the fleet telematic needs.
• Tracking when vehicles need replacement & working with fleet management to complete & maintain this process.
• Collaborate with PGW safety team to acquire new & up to date safety features.
• Evaluate fleet management process & work with our leaders to improve process.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
• Partner with fleet management provider & business leaders to engineer future vehicle needs & order needs.
• Managing License & title needs per the fleet requirements.
• Monitor fleet industry technology to improve overall fleet safety & performance.
• Collaborate with vehicle upfitters to design and implement delivery truck specifications & requirements.
• Monitor & track vehicles throughout the build process to ensure specifications & timelines are met at final delivery.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and service providers, including negotiating contracts and service agreements.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Aptitude with communicating with various levels throughout the organization.
• Excellent track record of providing superb customer service.
• A “self-starter” who can seek our resolutions on their own.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office products-Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Proficiency in fleet management software & GPS tracking systems.
• Willing to travel as needed, less than 25%.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Prefer a minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field.
