Job summary

Premier Truck Rental in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking Rental Technicians to perform pre-delivery inspections and a variety of aftermarket installations on our fleet. You will install mechanical and electrical components, ensure quality checks, and complete workshop orders while meeting rental schedules.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of mechanical/electrical experience, be skilled with hand and power tools, and able to lift 50 lbs. A strong team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot basic automotive mechanical and electrical problems.
• Ability to build rapport with customers and handle situations confidently.
• Flexibility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player and good communication on a tablet.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery inspections and various upfits on rental fleet.
• Connect mechanical and electrical components safely.
• Complete installations timely per schedule.
• Ensure quality checks and final inspections pass.
• Operate tablet-based check-in/out processes and perform welding/cutting as needed.
• Collaborate with team to improve installation processes.
• Adhere to 5S principles to improve workspace efficiency.
