FleetPride in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Diesel Technician I to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers while building strong customer relationships. This role blends hands-on mechanics with service development opportunities to grow shop revenue and customer trust.

You will work with fleets and owner-operators, identify service opportunities, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment.

Formación

• Experience in heavy-duty diesel/truck or trailer repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, dependable, and motivated attitude.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Existing fleets/owner-operator relationships are a plus.
• Proven book of business or ability to generate service opportunities is valued.
• Own hand and air tools.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus, not required.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air, brake, suspension, steering, and other systems.
• Perform repairs and component replacements with limited supervision.
• Identify additional needs and communicate recommendations to customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet customers and owner-operators.
• Help identify opportunities to bring additional service business into the shop.
• Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and service leadership.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety standards.
