Job summary

CHS is looking for a Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Great Bend, KS. This individual will be performing preventative and light maintenance on our semis and trailers. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.

Hours can vary based on need, and there is potential for some Saturday work if need is high. This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $1500 will be paid after 30 days, and an additional $1500 will be paid after a year in the role.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Truck Maintenance.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational/technical school training in maintenance/mechanics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain trucks and trailers to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance on semis and trailers.
• Assist junior team members as needed.
• Maintain records and documentation of maintenance and repairs.
• Keep tools and work areas organized and safe.
