Job summary

Marten Transport, Ltd. is seeking a full-time in-house maintenance technician to perform medium-level repairs on the fleet in a timely and efficient manner.

You will diagnose and repair equipment, rebuild components, and complete preventive maintenance while adhering to company policies. The role requires lifting at least 50 pounds, working on various shifts and in extreme weather conditions across Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Must possess mechanical skills and aptitude for the position. Must be able to exhibit skills and knowledge.
• High School Education with one year post high school training preferred or two plus years’ experience in trailer maintenance.
• Physical requirements include lifting at least 50 pounds and working varied shifts in extreme climates.

Responsibilities

• Must have antiquate tools and toolbox.
• Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in rebuilding components on equipment.
• Effectively and efficiently perform preventive maintenance inspections.
• Complete all Repair Orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit.
• Return all unused parts to the parts room.
• Attend all company training classes, retain and demonstrate as instructed.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the work area.
• Performs additional duties and special projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
