Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Tire Technician to maintain tires on our fleet and perform spill response duties. You will inspect tires and wheels, replace worn components, mount/dismount tires, and keep inventory and records up to date in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires a valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain it, and a willingness to work shifts such as 3pm-5am, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• One year of tire service experience, preferably with heavy tandem-axle wheels.
• Must obtain Tire Industry Association (TIA) Certification if needed.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tires of fleet vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with regulations and policies.
• Inspect fleet tires, wheels, and related components per maintenance schedules.
• Identify and replace worn tires, wheels, and related components.
• Mount and dismount tires.
• Perform tire-related roadside replacements.
• Maintain tire inventory and tire equipment for safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders, parts usage) on computer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
