Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Tulsa, OK is seeking a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger cars, light and heavy trucks. You will diagnose issues on semi-trucks and trailers and perform routine fleet maintenance.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 30–250 lbs. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; overtime may be needed. Prior heavy-duty tire experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime maybe required.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on semi-trucks and trailers (brakes, HVAC, PM inspections, drivetrain, electrical systems).
• Respond to roadside service calls when needed and operate service truck.
• Use and maintain TPMS.
• Participate in inventory loading/unloading and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
