Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. seeks a hands-on Telematics Installation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GPS and fleet-technology systems on commercial equipment.

The role blends automotive electrical work with fleet technology and ensures devices have power, proper communication, and secure mounting in demanding environments. The technician will primarily work with 12V/24V systems, installing devices like GPS trackers, ELDs, cameras, sensors, and related wiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical, auto electrical, diesel, electronics, or related vocational training is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with automotive, diesel, commercial vehicle, low-voltage, electrical, electronics, fleet maintenance, or equipment installation work.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, and repair GPS and telematics devices on fleet assets.
• Perform 12V/24V electrical wiring for power, ignition, ground, and accessories.
• Install and support related fleet technology including ELDs, dash cameras, sensors, gateways, and tracking equipment.
• Route, loom, secure, label, and protect wiring and harnesses for safe installations.
• Use multimeters, diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, and instructions to verify circuits.
