Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Telematics Installation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GPS and related fleet‑technology systems on commercial tractors, trailers, trucks, and other company equipment.

The technician will work with 12V/24V electrical systems and low‑voltage accessories, ensuring reliable power, secure mounting, and proper communication in busy shop and field environments. Collaboration with Shop Manager and teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems and fleet installations.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, pinouts, and installation guides.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, wiring, and connectivity issues.
• Experience with GPS/telematics systems and fleet devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, relocate, and repair GPS/telematics devices on fleet assets.
• Perform 12V/24V wiring for power, ignition, ground, and accessories.
• Route and secure wiring to produce safe, durable installations.
• Document work with device info, photos, and service notes.
• Coordinate with Shop Manager to minimize downtime and ensure quality.
