Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician to coordinate maintenance and repair scheduling for a fleet of vehicles used in inmate or detainee transport. The role requires adherence to safety rules, FMCSR compliance, and collaboration with vendors and management.

Key duties include managing DVIRs, DOT inspections, registrations, and coordinating with approved vendors to keep all fleet vehicles in optimal working condition. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Two (2) years of experience coordinating or maintaining on-highway motor vehicles used within an organized fleet environment.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification desirable.
• Must obtain a valid Class B CDL with a Passenger endorsement within six months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repair planning for a fleet of vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSR requirements and safety regulations.
• Maintain and monitor GPS, DVR, and communication systems on vehicles.
• Prepare and manage maintenance and repair schedules and reports.
• Oversee vehicle registrations and permits; ensure proper filing and placards.
