Job summary

Sixt Rent A Car is seeking a Fleet Technician to maintain and repair vehicles across our fleet, from oil changes to tire work and inspections. You’ll ensure vehicle readiness and availability for customers, contributing to smooth rental operations and high service levels.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, with a starting hourly rate of $22. You can expect 40-hour weeks, potential travel, and opportunities to grow within a global mobility company.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' automotive technician experience or trade school graduation.
• Hold ASE Certifications in Suspension & Steering (A4) and Brakes (A5), or be ready to earn them within the first year.
• Must be 18+, have a valid driver's license with a clean record, and work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical repairs: oil changes, tire mounting/balancing, tire repair, brake and part replacements.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Meet daily output goals and maintain minimum efficiency of 100%.
• Use PPE and safety glasses at all times in the shop; maintain a clean work space.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

You perform basic mechanical repairs to include oil changes, mounting and balancing tires, Tire repair, brake and part replacements

You complete Pre delivery inspections on fleet vehicles as required by management

You achieve daily output goals and maintain the minimum efficiency of 100%

You use PPE every time repairs are performed always including usage of Safety Glasses while in the automotive shops

You Conduct daily clean-up of work area and maintains a clean work environment

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

Education & ExperienceYou have at least 2 years' experience as an automotive technician or have graduated from a trade school

CertificationsYou hold ASE Certifications in Suspension & Steering (A4) and Brakes (A5), or you’re ready to earn them within your first year of employment

Licenses & AuthorizationYou are at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and are authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Work Hours & TravelYou can work 40 hours per week, including day or evening shifts, and are open to travel (5-10%)
