Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in Chicopee, MA is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to maintain and repair delivery vehicles, diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance to keep drivers on the road.

You will work with experienced technicians, manage parts and labor charges on work orders, and build vendor relationships for estimates. CDL is required for returning vehicles to the traffic center and ensuring timely service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.

• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Clean driving record in past 3 years.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, kneel, and stretch.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces.
• Ability to work on/under trucks for long shifts.

Responsibilities

Quick Look

• Pay: $37.81 per hour

• Location: Chicopee, MA

• Work Days: Monday - Friday

• Start Time: 8:00 am

• End Time: 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years of age or older
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
• You have a valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle
• Your driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You have the ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles to keep drivers safe and on the road delivering beloved brands like Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos. Your technical skill and preventative work ensure vehicles are reliable and communities stay stocked.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required)
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor
