Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in West Columbia, SC is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to maintain and repair company vehicles, diagnose issues, and perform preventative maintenance to keep drivers on the road delivering Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos.

Qualifications

• You are at least 21 years of age or older.
• May be required to work on weekends, holidays and off shift.
• You have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
• Your driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in the past 3 years.
• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without accommodation.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
• Work in tight spaces for extended periods.
• Will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8-12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, including diagnosing mechanical issues and completing preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required).
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.

Minimum Qualifications

• You are at least 21 years of age or older
• You may be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
• You have a valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle

• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation
