Job summary

Lancaster County Economic Development is seeking a technician to configure new vehicles and equipment, and to assist with services, maintenance and repairs of county vehicles and other motorized equipment.

The role involves ensuring proper working order, performing preventative maintenance, and following direction from the Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman who coordinate and monitor assignments.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation.
• At least one year of experience in service and installation of motorized equipment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure new vehicles and equipment under supervision.
• Assist with services, maintenance and repairs to county vehicles and motorized equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to a variety of equipment.
• Work under direction of Fleet Manager and Shop Foreman who coordinate, assign and monitor tasks.

Typical Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification(s) Required. Any combination of training, education, or experience equivalent to two years' experience in automotive repair or new vehicle preparation, which includes at least one year experience in the service and installation of motorized equipment.
• Preferred/Desirable Qualification(s). Graduation from high school or GED is preferred.
