Job summary

The City of Loveland is seeking a Fleet Technician I to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the municipal fleet. You will diagnose, service, and repair light to heavy vehicles, building skills toward maintaining up to 28 vehicle classes.

Progression opportunities exist within the Fleet Career and Development Incentive Program, with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and excellent customer service. CDL testing support is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Automotive or diesel vocational or technical training, or 3 years automotive repair experience.
• CDL Instructors Permit within 6 weeks of hire and Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement within 6 months.
• State of Colorado emission licenses within 120 days of hire.
• ASE Master Certification in Automotive/Light truck (A1-A8) highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor and major Preventive Maintenance services and repairs.
• Performs component diagnostics, removals and re-installations; parts replacements; parts cleaning; assists with heavy jobs.
• Maintains safety and quality standards while working with Fleet Services team.
• Completes accurate work orders and maintenance reports.
