Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated is seeking a Fleet Technician to keep our fleet running at peak performance. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across vehicle systems, with emphasis on safety and reliability in a fast-paced shop environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and 1 year of mechanical repair experience (3 years for senior level). CDL A and ASE/OEM certs are a plus, with opportunities to mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 1 year mechanical repair experience; Senior level requires 3 years direct fleet/heavy equipment experience.
• CDL Class A and ASE/OEM certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and service vehicle systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software to identify failures and determine repair methods.
• Senior Level: service engine emission systems, HVAC, welding/fabrication and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with DOT and company standards.
