Job summary

PepsiCo in North Palm Springs, CA is hiring a fleet mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing our nationwide delivery fleet. You will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help ensure vehicles are reliable and drivers stay safe on the road.

Workdays are Monday to Friday with shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. You must be at least 18, hold a valid Non-DOT license, be able to lift 50 pounds, and be willing to work on or under trucks for entire shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a valid Non-DOT Driver's License.
• Driver's license must not be suspended or revoked within the past 3 years.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more with or without accommodation.
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues and performing preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to the traffic center when needed (CDL required).
• Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors when obtaining estimates for parts or outside labor.

• You can lift 50 pounds or more with or without a reasonable accommodation

• You have the ability to work in tight spaces for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation
• You will be required to work on/under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours) with or without a reasonable accommodation
