Job summary

Penn Power Group is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles. The role requires hands-on maintenance, accurate documentation, and the ability to work with diagnostic software to ensure quality service.

The position offers opportunities for ASE-certified technicians and Diesel Engine technical training, with a supportive benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance inspections on fleet vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a range of fleet equipment and engines.
• Ability to document time, parts, PM checklists accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair fleet equipment and systems.
• Record time, parts, and PM checklists accurately.
• Overhaul engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, and other systems as needed.
• Weld or braze frames and related components when required.

Requirements

YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE:

• Performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Routine Maintenance, oil changes, electrical services, and lubrication.
• Accurately record time, parts, and PM inspection checklists.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all fleet vehicles.
• Perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance services.
• Diagnoses and identifies vehicle and equipment malfunctions and determines corrective actions to be taken through tests and inspections. Tests vehicles and equipment after repairs. Verifies completion of repairs to ensure a quality service deliverable.
• Repairs or overhauls engines, transmissions, gear trains, differentials, steering systems, brake systems, clutch systems, electrical systems, power takeoffs, hydraulic and pneumatic lifts and controls, and related components.
• Brazes or welds frames, sheet metal and various equipment components, such as trailers.

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE:

• Positivity, adaptability, creativity, energy.
• Superior ability to fill out forms and charts.
• Superior skill and ability to utilize computer driven vehicle diagnostic software.
• Considerable ability to perform vehicle and equipment overhaul and repair safely, effectively and efficiently.
• ASE certifications
• Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training
