Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, cameras, and other fleet technologies across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers. The role involves 12V/24V wiring, testing, and travel to customer sites for mobile installations.

Candidates with automotive, electrical, fleet maintenance or upfitting backgrounds are encouraged. ASE/I-CAR opportunities and paid training are offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and route/secure wiring for clean installations.
• Test system functionality and document installations with photos and notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
